I'll try to be brief. You know that's hard for me, so cut me some slack.

I want to thank you for leaving comforting words for Meghan and Brent about their cat Hector. It meant very much to me and will to them for sure.

You and Google Plus

Do you use Google Plus? It's Google's answer to Facebook.

I have to maintain a presence there for AsktheBuilder.com. I often share cool stuff I'm doing there that might not make it in this newsletter.

If you want to add me to your circles let me know and I'll add you to a special circle I created for you.

Just send a note, if possible, that you're a subscriber when you add me to your circles.

I'm TimCarterW3ATB on Google Plus. You can't miss the cute little cartoon icon of me.

Chipped Granite or Stone Counter Tops

An hour ago, I was washing a pot that was soaking overnight.

I bumped it against the edge of our green serpentine counter that hangs over our country kitchen sink.

Luckily I didn't chip it!

If you chip your stone top, do NOT PANIC.

STOP what you're doing and find all the chips and chunks. SAVE them.

You, or a professional, can use clear epoxy to put them back in place.

For missing pieces you can't locate, expert pros can mix up epoxy and COLORIZE it so you can't tell a repair was made.

New VacuFlo Central Vac

Yesterday, I installed a new VacuFlo central vacuum power unit at my home.

WOWZA! It's very nice and it was a breeze to install.

I taped a video of the entire process and will have it for you on Tuesday.
