CordLatch Product Review
Have you ever had a power tool or other electrical appliance unplug itself from the end of an extension cord as you tug on the cord?
It's happened to me and it's frustrating.
In the past I simply tied the two cords in a knot. This is not a good thing to do with the cords and the stress of the knot often partially unplugs the plug exposing dangerous energized plug prongs that can short out or electrocute someone or something.
This is why I was intrigued to test the CordLatch device.
The CordLatch is a very simple accessory you attach to the male end of a plug.
Most female ends to extension cords have a bump that you've probably ignored for years.
The CordLatch accessory you add to the male end of your plugs in just a minute or two hooks onto this bump and locks the two cords together.
It's magic, it's simple and it's ingenious!
The CordLatch kit comes with everything you need to adapt four male plugs.
Each CordLatch kit contains:
- Four Yellow CordLatches
- Re-useable alignment tool
- drill bit
- Four threaded pins
- Four optional washers
Each kit comes with easy-to-follow instructions on how you have to drill a small hole into the end of the male plug. The handy alignment tool that comes with the CordLatch makes this idiot proof as the alignment tool can only be placed on the plug one way when there's a grounding prong on the plug.
All you need to do is align the letter "B" on the alignment tool with the larger of the two prongs on the male end of the plug.
Even the dullest caveman could do this.
If you want to end extension cord frustration, get yourself some CordLatches now!
